Siting

Siting is an operation that consists in positioning a future construction or the extension of an existing building on a lot, with the help of markers.

Before the siting of a property is performed, the land surveyor prepares a draft siting plan in which the building or building extension is presented. Usually, the draft siting plan will need to be produced by the owners before they can obtain a construction permit from the municipality.
